CANTON – Wimpy’s Inn, 11 Main St., Canton, has closed.
In a Facebook post, owners Julia and Ethan Henry announced the decision to shut down the Canton eatery.
“As the end of our lease approaches, we’ve decided to not renew it for another year. We’ve made the decision to spend our time focusing on the Ogdensburg location and with our family effective today. Please be kind, this isn’t an easy decision. We were so very fortunate to have this opportunity but with so many irons in the fire it left very little time to be with family,” the post reads.
“Thank you so much to the village of Canton and everyone who visited our store, we so appreciate the incredible support and welcomeness we received from you all. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and value the relationships we’ve built with both customers and surrounding businesses. We hope to see you in the Ogdensburg location,” the Henrys stated.
The Canton Wimpy’s Inn opened Nov. 28.
