DEKALB — A Hermon woman died and two other St. Lawrence County residents were injured following a motor vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 11 on Feb. 9, according to state police.
Troopers said a black Mitsubishi Glant driven by Pamela N. Moyer, 65, Hermon, entered US Highway 11 from the East Dekalb Road and failed to yield the right of way to a black 2017 UPS truck, driven by Dennis R. McNamara, 49, West Chazy.
Passengers in the Mitsubishi Glant, Pearl Wishney, 91, Hermon, Gabriel Z. Moyer, 20, Hermon, and Pamela were transported to Canton-Potsdam Hospital sustaining injuries.
Wishney was pronounced deceased at the hospital.
Pamela was transported to Upstate Medical Center due to the severity of her injuries and is in critical condition.
Gabriel was evaluated and sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
McNamara was uninjured from the accident.
The New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation and Collision Reconstruction Unit responded to the scene. State Police were assisted at the scene by local fire and rescue teams.
This is an active investigation.
