CANTON – The Development Authority of the North Country and the state Department of Environmental Conservation will sponsor a free household hazardous waste collection day in Canton on Sept. 28 from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. at the St. Lawrence County Human Services Building, 80 State Highway 310. The collection events are open to residential households only; waste will not be accepted from businesses, schools, farms or municipalities.
