Massena mayor supports Simpson for village trustee

To the Editor:

I write to you today to ask for your vote to Re-elect Chad Simpson as Massena Village Trustee on November 5th. Chad has lived here in Massena for the past 25 years and has been a dedicated teacher at Massena Central Schools. During that time, he has served as President and Vice President of the Massena Federation of Teachers as well as a member of the Negotiations committee. Prior to living and working here in Massena, Chad served in the United States Army/Infantry for three years. During this time, he was deployed to such places as Korea and Guantanamo Bay.

All of these experiences have made Chad uniquely qualified for his position as Village Trustee.  Chad has been instrumental in his role as negotiator for the Village. He has been the liaison to all of our Emergency Service Units and our Code Department. He has been a steady voice as we have tried to improve upon all of these services. He has helped us in our leadership in rebuilding the Police Department, in the takeover of Massena Rescue, and is currently helping in rewriting major aspects of our code.

Chad is able to do all of this because he is an independent voice. You may not realize this, but he is a registered Independent who is endorsed by the local Democratic Committee. His only interest is the betterment of this community and what he can do to help as we try to navigate the process of reinvigorating our Village. He is focused on services, taxes, and our Downtown Revitalization.

I urge you to Re-elect Chad Simpson on November 5th. He will continue to provide the leadership we need as we all work together to bring Massena to what it once was, and what it can be in the future.
