OGDENSBURG -- A city firefighter will deliver disaster relief items to North Carolina next week and donated items are being collected at the fire station.

Ogdensburg firefighter Patrick “Bubba” Leclair will be headed down to western North Carolina early next week with much needed supplies for those still trying to recover from the devastating effects of Hurricane Helene.

The public is asked to help with the effort to provide some much needed relief to those hit hardest by the hurricane. Monetary donations will go towards the purchase of generators and gasoline.

Items needed: non-perishable food items, bottled water, toiletries and hygiene essentials, diapers, wipes, and baby formula dog and cat food, blankets and sleeping bags, toilet paper, paper towels, batteries, and gas cans.

Items will be collected at the station at 718 Ford Street from Oct. 9-13.
