Sandy’s Steps is a non- profit organization assisting those with ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease. The walk/run will raise funds for research and provide community outreach for those with ALS.
Sandra Tulga was affected by the disease and the organization is named in her honor. Family and friends made a promise to her to create a walk/organization in St. Lawrence County in her memory to help find a cure for this disease.
Sandy’s Steps has helped over dozens of families, including at least five people last year.
The organization is always seeking volunteers for events, as well as help with meals, transportation, and errands.
