POTSDAM – The Julia Trio will take the stage along with guest musicians in a faculty chamber recital on Saturday, Sept. 21 at 3 p.m., in Snell Theater at SUNY Potsdam. The trio, including Risa Okina (piano), Timothy Yip (violin) and Chihiro Kakishima (violin), will open with Kosaku Yamada's arrangement of Rentaro Taki's "Song of the Ruined Castle," a Japanese song dating to the Meiji period. Okina and Yip will be joined by Marie-Elaine Gagnon (cello) for the "Piano Trio No. 1 in D-Minor, Op. 32," by Anton Aresky. Kakishima will join the others for the final piece, Gregoria Karides Suchy's "String Quartet No. 1."
