I read with interest “How Miner Street will change” in the current issue of NCTW.
The two 3’ pedestrian and bike lanes that are part of the plan should be at least 4’ wide.
Two people cannot pass comfortably on a three-foot sidewalk. A stroll around Canton village would support that observation.
One party usually has to take a few steps in the grass to pass another, as many of the existing sidewalks are around three feet wide.
