To the Editor:
It's not a bathhouse, where one showers off before or after a swim. It's a Bathroom and it is going to be squatting right in the middle of the park. It appears to have four concrete paths leading to it. Did I mention that it is right in the middle of the park?
I have no idea why the village would think this is a good idea. Ives Park is the main green space in our village, and it used to be a magical respite with lovely old majestic oaks and willows.
It is starting to look like the Gouverneur Fairgrounds. And why can't I get that Joni Mitchell song out of my head? Please, contact the mayor, and let's see if we can get this thing moved to a discreet corner, or perhaps next to the farmer's market.
I think we can all agree that this village has enough misplaced toilets.
